Kolby's Donut House - Tacoma's Best Donut Destination

I swung by Kolby’s Donut House the other morning on a bit of a whim, and I’m really glad I did. You can usually tell within the first bite whether a donut place knows what it’s doing, and these absolutely do. I picked up a variety dozen, and every single one delivered. The texture was spot on: a light, delicate crunch on the outside with a soft, chewy interior that didn’t feel heavy or greasy. The sweetness was balanced too, flavorful without crossing into sugary overload, which is harder to pull off than people think. What really caught me off guard, though, happened a couple of days later. I grabbed one of the sugar coated donuts I had left and expected the usual stale, dried-out disappointment. Instead, it was still soft, still chewy, and still tasted great. I’ve honestly never had a donut hold up like that before. I don’t know what kind of magic they’re working back there, but it made an impression. All in all, Kolby’s is the kind of place that makes you want to stop in again and bring a dozen home “just because.” If you enjoy well made donuts and like discovering solid local spots, this one is absolutely worth a visit.

Had the most amazing raised donut w/chocolate frosting here. It was like biting into a delicious cloud. Not greasy at all. I don’t live in the area but would 100% go again if I’m passing through. The atmosphere is typical donut shop. The two ladies working at the counter were very friendly and quick.

Kolby's maple bar is the best maple bar I have EVER had. I would even say the perfect donut. It has a delicious flavor, not too sweet, and the doughnut is SO soft and has the best texture when you chew it. All of their donuts are top tier. I love going there every time I drive down to visit my family. They also have awesome sandwiches and smoothies. I HIGHLY recommend you go!

Seriously one of the best donuts I have ever had, so soft it was like biting into air. Prices were reasonable, for two donuts and the biggest coffees they had it was like 10 bucks. Easily a return to spot. They were packed when we walked in but they were getting people through the line very quick. The only down side was the lobby was half filed with furniture so there wasn't really any place to sit. Also they were already out of some donuts, they were making more, but that early I feel like they should have been stocked up more.

I tried Kolby’s Donut House for the first time today and it was delicious! They had a large variety of fresh donuts and sandwiches. We got the maple bar and it was so tasty! So soft and the maple is delicious. We also got 2 sandwiches which were the bacon, egg, sausage croissant sandwich and the bacon, egg, sausage bagel sandwich. Both were so delicious but we liked the bagel more. All in all, we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back to get the sandwiches and try different donut flavors!! Highly recommend this shop!!

These are some of the best donuts I have eaten in a while. Old fashion is my favorite after maple bars! Today I had a maple bar twist it’s ! The owners are amazing and sweet! Very kind people and that makes this place even more awesome. If your in the parkland area check them out!

Some of the softest donuts I've had from Mom and mom shops ! Their regular glazed donut is a must try ! They also make breakfast sandwiches out of donuts as well. Maple bars are great here too and I tried their peanut butter and jelly donut and it was perfect. I also really like how they make fresh pressed juice in front of you as well. I tend to get a beet juice with pineapple, celery and carrots. Delicious.

Being a big back, donuts are my kryptonite! Kolbys Donuts are amazing. Light, fluffy, and delicious. Numerous flavors to choose from and staff are always great. Highly recommend.
